I have a digital blood pressure kit with the cuff that wraps around the upper arm.Can I use the same unit to take my dog's blood pressure by wrapping it around his body?

Why would you want to do this – and if you manage to do this, are you qualified to know what any readings you get actually mean?Never in all my years with my hounds, as any of them had a BP reading done!!

NO. Blood pressure is measured on the front leg, NOT the entire body.

You need a special cuff, sized for the dog.
It is also diubtful that this CONSUMER (non professional) machine would read correctly on a dog.

If you don't know how to do it then you probably don't need to do it.
Think about that one for a while! LOL! My dad is a vet and he said that the vet will take his blood pressure if you want it done but it isn't something that needs to be done! Most dogs only have their blood pressure taken every time they visit the vet to do the vaccinations. You don't have to worry about it. Just keep your dog on a normal diet and take him for a walk in the park!

Don't use a human tool on an animal EVER without checking with your vet first! Not even a blood pressure taker. More times than not the animal doesn't need it in the first place.
